Spoon Carving Experiences

siloutaggart

We tend to stick to a maximum of 8 people for a group workshop, ensuring that everyone gets the opportunity to learn all the techniques.

Each student is equipped with their own "spoon mule" (so you're seated throughout with the spoon mule offering a much safer form of spoon carving as you're cutting away from yourself with the work locked in a vice and not held in your hand), hooked knife and spoke shave. They learn how to use all the equipment to create lovely spoons, spatulas and forks.

The focus of a group workshop is to enjoy the very therapeutic movements involved in carving - there's nothing quite like watching the shavings curl away from the wood.

Get in touch if you'd like to have your own private spoon carving group experience!
