We're really pleased with the feedback we received from the students who attended our enamelling experience with the talented Kate Janssens. As you can see from the photos, everyone made beautiful pieces.
Each student was able to design their own jewellery/piece and then cut their shapes out from the sheet copper using a vice and saw. The pieces were then provided with decoration in the form of finely powdered glass sifted over the copper. The work was then fired individually in tiny kilns to the correct temperature in order for the glass to melt and fuse. The effects are amazing and sometimes unexpected!
Kate expertly guided the students through each stage of the process.
