Our Materials

WOOD

The wood Simon uses for his various bespoke items is reclaimed and indigenous. Friends and family are usually on the look-out for any storm-damaged trees or bits of timber that we can salvage from garden clearance work.

Each item is a one-off. Although sets of certain products are available, they all differ slightly as they are made by hand.

All items are either oil or wax finished and, where necessary, food-safe.

Ceramic Clay

CLAY

Louise uses a variety of stoneware and porcelain clays to create thrown, slab, sculpted, and thrown pieces. No two items are exactly the same, as they are made by hand.

All the utilitarian items made are food-safe and can be used in the oven, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher.

SILK

Louise's scarves, cushion covers, and ties are created using 100% ponge 5 silk to ensure they're beautifully lightweight and floaty. The edges are hand-rolled and hand-stitched, for a high-quality finish.

All colours are fixed and are machine washable at 30°C or below. They can be ironed on a low-to-medium heat.
